Sunflowers are one of the most bright, sunny, luscious flowers. They are a symbol of joy and delight.

When buying Sunflowers people understandably gravitate to the Sunflowers that are fully open. They are showing their beautiful faces, and are so alluring.

But next time you buy a bunch or a bouquet look for Sunflowers that are more closed. These will last much longer, AND you get to experience all the fun of watching them unfurl.

We harvest Sunflowers when they are almost fully closed, usually with just one petal pulling away, like this one.

We are catching the flower before it is pollinated, ensuring that it looks lovely in your home for as long as possible.

And then VOILA, she’s open and gorgeous in her full regalia. And will last in the vase for a good long while. Often Sunflowers are the last ones standing in a mixed bouquet.

The same applies for all the Sunflowers we offer. If you choose Sunflowers that are more closed, they will open beautifully for you at home.
